Hugo Salles is a writer, lawyer, and executive. For over fifteen years, he has led teams and projects — an experience that bridged his study of Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhism with concrete everyday issues such as fear, conflict, guilt, attachment, and decision-making.
As part of this independent study path, he has translated selected Buddhist sutras into Portuguese, working with canonical texts, recognized translations, and traditional commentaries.
In the series The Technologies of the Awakened Mind, he investigates how teachings, symbols, and practices related to figures like Tara, Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, Vajrasattva, and Vajrapani can contribute to cultivating courage, clarity, compassion, and discernment.
His books follow a simple principle: teachings should not be accepted solely on the authority of those presenting them, but should be put into practice, observed, and evaluated through one's own experience.
